Logistics Support Analysis

The Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) provides key input for ILS management. The LSA is used to develop the ILS plan. The ILS plan describes the logistics processes for the use and maintenance of your system, in accordance with the use profile. The LSA results in the documentation, lists of consumables and spares, the training of operators and maintainers and more.

The LSA runs parallel with the development of the system. The goal of the LSA is to optimise the system design and the support system during the life-cycle at the lowest possible cost. The LSA gives the system engineers design feedback for optimal maintainability by paying attention to factors such as the accessibility of critical systems or the availability of spares during the system life-cycle.

The LSA consists of different processes which Verebus can support or execute for you:

  • Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) – to determine which systems and components are most critical.
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) – to determinde preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) – to define maintenance task by identifying the periodicity, duration, instructions and materials needed such as spares or consumables.
  • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) – to determine the maintenance strategy, which personnel performs which task on which location.

Verebus works according to the ASD SX000i standards for the LSA, such as the S2000M and S3000L. Please contact us with any questions.
