Verebus

Trade initiative 'Sustainable Design'

Verebus participates in the trade initiative 'Sustainable Design', together with Dutch Rail Control (DRC), Logitech and Two-B.

The participants developed a methodology to optimally adapt design processes to products in joint projects, resulting in smarter, CO2-saving designs. Multiple alternative designs are weighed against the CO2 reduction requirements. This may result in cost savings and a significant reduction of CO2 emissions in the course of the project.

The dominance analysis of ProRail was used as a guideline to define the criteria. This led to the development of a calculation tool called 'CO2 variants'. The tool is used to calculate alternative projects.

In addition to CO2 reduction, the participants consider aspects of safety and integrated project management where possible. Relevant aspects of socially and environmentally responsible entrepeneurship are leading.
