History

In 1947, Verebus Engineering B.V., in full "VEReenigd Elektrotechnisch Bureau voor Scheepsinstallaties" (United Electirical Engineering firm for Shipbuilding), was established on request of the Royal Navy, through the merger of five separate installation companies. The scope of the company was to design and perform engineering activities, resulting in schematics and manuals of electrical installations for naval and merchant ships, airplanes, land and operating systems.

In the seventies of the previous century, we attracted several major clients, including the Royal Navy, Van Rietschoten & Houwens (now Imtech), Fokker Aircraft and Hollandse signaal.

Twenty years later, we entered the infra market, which was to become its largest market. As a certified engineering company in the railway safety industry, we can act as an authorized agent for ProRail in research, design and inspection activities.

Since December 2007, Verebus has been part of TÜV NORD GROUP, a German company providing technical services in the field of technical consultancy, certification and implementation in important sectors such as mobility, testing & certification, energy and aerospace engineering.

Today, Verebus employs over 150 employees and has grown into an engineering company with most of its customers in the Rail, Defense and Marine & Offshore market segments. Activities range from consultancy, design and engineering to writing and managing technical documentation as well as delivering training courses. Customers can rely on us at any time in the life cycle of their systems and installations.
