The ASD S-series specifications are an important part of integrated logistics support. These specifications ensure uniformity and compatibility of the various ILS processes. Besides basic training on the complete S-series specifications, we offer two S1000D courses: for authors and for coordinators. From the enormously complex and extensive documentation, we have selected the topics we consider most important for these groups.

The S-specifications course consists of four different training courses that can be taken separately.

Introduction S-series Specifications

In this module, you will learn the context and applications of the various S-specifications in a nutshell. This module is intended for anyone who wants to familiarise with the S-series specifications or is about to start working with them. We examine the ILS processes and SX000i, and the correlation of the S-series specifications. We pay extra attention to documentation (S1000D), provisioning (S2000M) and the LSA (S3000L).

S1000D Introduction

During the S1000D Introduction we look at the history, origin and application of S1000D, and the place of S1000D in he ILS process

In this course, specifically designed for technical authors, we start with the basics of S1000D and gradually zoom in on how to use S1000D in practice. The course consists of the S1000D Introduction, complemented by three modules focused on the authoring profession.
