Defence
We have been involved in new construction and maintenance projects for the Royal Netherlands Army, Navy and Air Force and auxiliary disciplines for almost 75 years now. Apart from the Dutch armed forces, we count among our customers Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), shipyards, integrators as well as maintenance and supply companies. Where necessary, we work together with added-value partners on a project base, tailored to the customers' needs.
We are primarily engaged in engineering for new construction projects, mid-life updates and modifications. Apart from engineering, we are a trusted partner for writing maintenance documentation and entering articles in Defence-specific systems.
For the Defence market, our maintenance engineers, technical writers and ILS experts deliver services in engineering, technical information and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
A few of the projects we have done:
- 'Mid-life updates of Dutch naval ships'. Together with Imtech and Nevesbu we took an active part in the multidisciplinary engineering for the maintenance projects of the Walrus class submarines, the M frigates and the Amsterdam.
- 'Documentation for a recognition vehicle'. We wrote the documentation for a state-of-the-art recognition vehicle, the Radiological & Chemical Reconnaissance System (RCRS).
- 'Implementation of the maintenance service model for the FRISCs and the RHIBs of the Marine Service', which included drawing up and implementing procedures for the maintenance organization.
- 'Updating ILS packages for the Air Force Frigates and Patrol Ships'. This involved a revision (i.e. quality improvement) of the documentation, maintenance tasks and spare parts list. We also wrote a Master Test Plan for the commissioning of Ships after maintenance.
Our people work on different projects at different Defence locations. Via MULAN workstations Verebus is directly connected to the Defence network, which enables us to work from any Verebus location too.
